Tickets to this year’s Goodwood Revival Meeting (7-9 September 2018) are selling out fast, with Goodwood laying on more attractions for families than ever before at the sell-out West Sussex event.
A traditional funfair, complete with an old-school big wheel, helter-skelter and carousel will bring joy to all generations amidst the excitement of classic car racing, singing and dancing that entrances Revival fans every year.
Dressing up as a family is part of the fun, with babies in bonnets riding in vintage prams and children in period mechanics’ overalls pumping their pedal-powered Austin J40s to the finish line in the much-loved Settrington Cup on the Goodwood Circuit (with many tantrums and tears).
Over the Road, Butlin’s will be rolling back the years for their seventh year, offering free roller-skating to visitors in the Butlin’s Ballroom, styled exactly as it would have been in a 1950s Butlin’s Resort. Redcoats will entertain the children as well, with encouraging games such as ‘limbo’, ‘follow the leader’ and ‘stuck in the mud’.
Also, Over the Road, the Revival Cinema will once again be presented by Sky Cinema, featuring family films throughout the weekend, such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was shown last year.
Food and drink options galore will keep the children happy as grown-ups peruse the vintage market place and take in all the action on track.
As always, children aged 12 and under go free accompanied by their parents, with Goodwood operating a generous Young Person’s rate on tickets too, with half-price tickets for under 21s.
Although Saturday tickets have sold-out, tickets for Friday and Sunday of the Goodwood Revival are still available and can be purchased by visiting Goodwood.com or by calling the Goodwood Ticket Office on 01243 755055.
