- Revival’s Revive and Thrive Village will stage a joyous schedule of workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and talks, using sustainable ‘Make Do and Mend’ approaches of post-war Britain to breathe new life into pre-loved belongings
- Learn to sew, stitch and salvage second-hand treasures this Second-Hand September
We are delighted to announce the stellar line-up of workshops, demonstrations, talks and exhibitions taking place at Goodwood Revival from Friday 16 – Sunday 18 September within the brand new Revive and Thrive Village.
Built around a community of artisans and experts, this new event area will present a modern take on the post-war ‘Make Do and Mend’ ethos as an antidote to today’s disposable culture.
Discover the heritage skills contemporary artists use to repair, repurpose and restyle in our Craft Cabins, featuring furniture and textile designer, Zoe Murphy; Bargello author, Nerrisa Pratt; quilting expert, Miesje Chafer; embroiderer, Flora Colchester; scrap model artist, The Rag and Bone Man; upholsterer and star of Interior Design Masters, Micaela Sharp, and Macramé artist, Isabella Strambio. The Writer’s Shed will play host to a series of book signings, with authors of books on vintage and sustainable crafts.
The Sewing Tent will offer a schedule of sewing workshops across the weekend, in association with PFAFF™ and designer deadstock fabric studio, New Craft House. These are now available to book online at Goodwood.com
The Revive and Thrive Stage will offer a series of free talks across the weekend, taking in taking in sustainable fashion, interiors and craft.
