From Saturday 24 May to Sunday 1 June 2025, families visiting Goodwood can experience a carefully curated programme of activities, each tailored to captivate young minds and adventurous spirits inspired by Goodwood’s sporting passions. Whether encouraging sporting talent or creative curiosity, the Estate offers a packed itinerary for every kind of child – from the budding athlete and the future petrolhead, to the imaginative thinker and the outdoor explorer.
Experiences:
- This May half term, kids of all ages, older children and teens visiting the Estate can never say they’re bored again with a range of activities on offer – including tree climbing, Junior Clay Shooting, Junior Driver Experiences, and a chance to test their reflexes with Race Simulator Sessions featuring the same state-of-the-art technology used by professional drivers.
- Aviation enthusiasts will have the chance to step inside one of the Estate’s aircrafts at the Goodwood Aerodrome, with tours offering an up-close look at the cockpit and a chance to learn more about flight from the inside – the perfect activity for young aspiring pilots.
- For those with an interest in golf, Goodwood’s Junior Golf Camps provide expert-led instruction in a relaxed setting on the Estate’s green, from mastering the perfect putt to refining a powerful swing.
- On Friday 23 and Saturday 24 May, the Goodwood May Festival takes place, promising an unforgettable day out – featuring thrilling live racing, music performances, and access to the race start line where visitors can get up-close to the action and to some of the event’s key participants.
- For children with a passion for creativity and discovery, the Estate’s range of nature-inspired workshops and wellbeing-focused sessions offer enriching and informative activities to fill the day. In the Sustainable Creations workshop, young guests can craft their own bird and bee water feeders while learning about biodiversity and environmental responsibility. In the woodland surroundings, the Den Building experiences encourage outdoor adventure as children work together to construct natural hideouts. Meanwhile, a hands-on Healthy Chocolate Bar Making session introduces children to the basics of nutrition in a fun and delicious way.
- Sporting opportunities continue across the Estate, catering to a wide range of ages and interests. Younger guests can enjoy sessions such as Horse Groom & Ride, Little Golfers, as well as taking part in a Goodwood Sports Day or join Kwik Cricket games. Fun Swim Sessions will also be available in a safe, supervised setting.
- Families can also gather for film screenings of The Trolls Movie, where everyone can get involved in learning some of the dance moves from the film to get ready for the fun. Motorsport enthusiasts can catch every second of the racing with live screenings of the two hotly-anticipated events in the Formula 1 calendar – the iconic Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday 25th May and the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday 1st
