Entertaining & Hospitality | Press Article 09/01/26

Families looking for a refreshing February Half Term escape can once again head to the countryside as The Goodwood Estate launches its programme of kids’ activities at The Goodwood Hotel, a week of imaginative, high-energy and outdoor experiences inspired by Goodwood’s unique sporting passions.

This half term, Goodwood offers a true change of pace for families wanting to swap screens and schedules for fresh air, open space and shared adventure. Set within 11,000 acres of parkland and countryside, The Goodwood Hotel is the ideal base for multi-generational getaways, where little ones, teens, parents, grandparents and even the dog can all find something to enjoy.

Throughout the week, children can take part in a wide range of Goodwood-inspired activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity and confidence. From forest adventures, den building and sustainable creations workshops to mini golf and golf camps, cricket, fun swim sessions and gut-healthy chocolate making, there’s something for every age and energy level.

At the heart of the programme is Goodwood’s passion for sport, speed and innovation. On Monday 16 February, children can take part in special Festival of Speed: Learn to Code & Fly Drones sessions, giving young minds the chance to explore the technology behind modern motorsport while learning new digital and flying skills in a fun, hands-on way.

For older children and teens, Goodwood’s half term activities step things up a gear. Young Driver experiences, professional Racing Simulators, and teeing off with a round of golf giving teenagers the kind of experiences they’ll be talking about long after the holidays end. And the whole family can hurtle off-road around the perimeter of the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit in a vintage Land Rover, or enjoy a cycling track session on the very track where racing legends have made history.

Younger guests are equally well catered for, with playful creative workshops, woodland activities and the return of Little Farmers’ Tea Time at Farmer, Butcher, Chef, the perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring, racing, crafting and swimming.

A stay at The Goodwood Hotel means families can enjoy all of this without having to plan a single day themselves. With cosy rooms, welcoming dining, wellness facilities and endless space to roam, it’s a half term break where everything is taken care of, allowing families to simply arrive, slow down and enjoy time together.

Whether it’s a first countryside adventure for little ones, a screen-free escape for London teens, or a multi-generational family gathering, February Half Term at Goodwood offers something truly different
