The Qatar Goodwood Festival, presented by Visit Qatar, has attracted significant broadcast interest, with 35 broadcasters lined up to showcase the iconic five-day horseracing fixture.
Popularly known as 'Glorious Goodwood', the thrilling action is set against the magnificent backdrop of the rolling Sussex countryside and is undoubtedly a summer season highlight.
Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and HBA Media (HBA), working with Goodwood Racecourse, have secured worldwide coverage.
Fox Sports, Fanduel and CBC – the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - will ensure the meeting enjoys excellent exposure in North America, while ESPN and Disney + will serve South America and the Caribbean.
The Middle East region will be particularly well served with Qatari broadcaster Al Kass, Dubai Racing Channel and Yas TV (Abu Dhabi), covering the full meeting.
The Far East will enjoy coverage via Netkeiba (streaming service with 17m users) in Japan, and HKJC TV, Cable TV, TVB and Now TV in Hong Kong.
Sky Racing Thoroughbred Central and Racing.com enjoys excellent reach across Australia, as does Viaplay in Europe.
Racecourse Director at Goodwood Racecourse, James Crespi, said: "The spotlight of the racing world is firmly on the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar this week, and this is reflected and supported by the international broadcast interest, including from some of the most prominent sports broadcasters in the world. Many thanks to RMG and HBA for securing such meaningful exposure and I hope our global television audiences enjoy a wonderful five days of sport.”
Broadcasters can elect to take the full three-hour world feed (produced by ITV) or the 60-minute show (co-produced by ITV and RMG), which takes in the Veuve Clicquot Molecomb Stakes and the highlight of the week, the Group 1 Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes on Wednesday, and is from 3.30pm to 4.30pm BST.
