Entertaining & Hospitality | Press Article 11/02/25

Bringing together foodies and locals passionate about food and flavour, Goodwood has launched a series of supper clubs to introduce the new menus at the award-winning restaurant, Farmer, Butcher, Chef through the changing of the seasons. Each supper club invites guests to step into the story of food at the Goodwood Estate in an intimate setting, providing the opportunity to sample an incredible five-course menu inspired by the seasonal produce and foods sourced locally and on the estate.

Celebrating the essence of true farm-to-fork dining, Farmer, Butcher, Chef is famed for its seasonal butcher’s boards, which celebrate the lamb, beef and pork raised on the Goodwood Home Farm. One of the only self-sustaining organic farms in Europe, Goodwood Home Farm has been yielding top organic meat and dairy for centuries, long before it was fashionable. From award-winning cheeses and butchery to locally brewed beer and gin, as well as nutrient dense, creamy raw milk, the estate’s rich heritage and generational skill is reflected in its produce.

The new series of ‘Through the Seasons’ Supper Clubs will demonstrate the heritage and quality of produce found on the estate and in the local area, with each deliciously prepared dish paired with specially selected wine. Each Supper Club will be celebrating each new season’s menu and will be introduced to diners by a guest speaker - either the Farmer, the Butcher or the Chef from Goodwood, or one of Goodwood’s local food partners – detailing the provenance and inspiration behind the new menus. To savour the flavours and memories shared during the evening, products from Goodwood’s Home Farm will be available to purchase on the night to be enjoyed at home.

Mike Watts, Executive Chef at Goodwood says, “We are thrilled to share our seasonal menus through these supper clubs. Provenance is incredibly important to us. Knowing exactly where our produce come from allows us to ensure the highest quality and sustainability.

The Goodwood Estate has a long history of organic farming and we take pride in showcasing our exceptional meat and dairy cultivated at Goodwood Home Farm as well as showcasing some of the finest local suppliers who share similar values and ethos to ours. This connection to the land and celebrating some of the lesser known cuts of meat not only supports local agriculture but also guarantees that our guests enjoy the freshest and most flavourful dishes possible.”

Running on Wednesdays, each supper club will include five-courses with wine pairings, a bespoke cocktail on arrival and have a seasonal theme:

- Wednesday 5 March 2025: Spring

- Wednesday 4 June 2025: Summer

- Wednesday 3 September 2025: Autumn

About Farmer, Butcher, Chef

Farmer, Butcher, Chef is The Goodwood Estate’s flagship restaurant and is a celebration of the beef, pork and lamb reared on Goodwood Home Farm. Aptly named, the farmer, butcher and chef sit down each week and discuss the cuts of meat available, helping to shape an ever-changing, seasonal menu which ensures that nothing is wasted. This results in melt-in-your mouth dishes and means that you will have travelled further than your food.

The culmination of all of this is the hearty Butcher’s Boards which showcase the different cuts of meat available, coupled with, arguably, the most delicious chips money can buy, along with seasonal vegetables and mouth-watering sauces. Seasonal English produce from Goodwood Home farm or local suppliers is championed and the animals graze on the grasslands and crops grown on the estate resulting in a true farm-to-fork philosophy.
