Goodwood has partnered with Flexjet, one of the world’s leading private aviation companies, for this year’s 25th anniversary edition of Goodwood Revival, taking place from 8 – 10 September.
Flexjet is the Official Private Aviation Partner of the event and will be hosting The Flexjet Arrival & Departure Lounge for visitors heading to the Sussex Estate via helicopter. The area will be decked in period theme and manned by suitably attired cabin crew, with Flexjet staff on hand to serve refreshments, provide information and guide guests to their desired location at the event.
Eli Flint, Flexjet President of Global Helicopter Operations, said: "We are delighted to be involved with Goodwood Revival this year, and to be opening the doors of The Flexjet Arrival & Departure Lounge for the first time. Our team is ready to transport visitors to a golden age of aviation as they arrive or depart by helicopter, including those flying on our Flexjet helicopter fleet. With the journey time to London just 30 minutes, there will be time for a glass of champagne to celebrate a seamless start or finish to a memorable day."
Jonathan Gregory, Commercial Director at Goodwood, said: “Flexjet is an established and highly respected business in the private aviation industry which is continuing to grow across Europe. Their presence and themed activation will enhance this year’s Revival and we look forward to partnering with them.”
Flexjet has been established in the U.S. since 1995 and launched its European operation in 2019 with a base at Farnborough Airport and offices in London’s Mayfair. They have an exceptional fleet of private jets and helicopters offering a highly personalised service. In Europe, this includes the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, the Praetor 600 super-midsize jet and the Gulfstream G650 ultra-long-range jet.
In Europe, Flexjet holds a 4AIR Silver Rating, recognising its leading approach to sustainability. This includes offsetting 300% of carbon emissions for every flight, with its aircraft owners also able to commit to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF); and invest in the Aviation Climate Fund (ACF) to support future flight research and development projects.
This year’s Goodwood Revival marks its 25th anniversary and promises to be an exciting three days with 150,000 visitors expected. The event is an immersive vintage experience set in period theme which recreates the glamour and excitement that suffused the glory days of motor racing at Goodwood from 1948 to 1966. The Revival revisits a time when everything was made to last and people would ‘make do and mend’ cherished belongings for a lifetime of use.
