- Introduction of digital ticketing at Season Opener fixture a success.
Goodwood Racecourse today announces its partnership with AudienceView, introducing digital ticketing to all horseracing events at the world’s most beautiful racecourse - improving and simplifying purchasing and entry to events.
The 2025 Season Opener, on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 May, was the first event at Goodwood Racecourse to introduce the new digital ticketing system through AudienceView.
As part of Goodwood’s commitment to providing efficient and sustainable event experiences, the Racecourse has now moved to digital tickets for all horseracing fixtures and Breakfast Club events.
Tickets are now in digital format, downloadable straight to a mobile device in an easy and straightforward manner. This will ensure entry into the events will be smoother, eliminating the complexity of lost tickets and reinforcing our sustainability commitments - to reduce waste and our carbon footprint.
AudienceView has a proven track record with high-profile UK clients and sporting events spaces, such as Wembley Stadium.
AudienceView is a white-label event commerce platform built for modern live-event organisations to grow their audiences through a suite of platforms and services that support sales and donations, audience engagement, and operational excellence.
Goodwood Racecourse Director, James Crespi, said: “We’re excited to confirm that in 2025, all ticketing for horseracing fixtures will be digital with AudienceView. Our first horseracing event using our new digital ticketing platform took place at Season Opener and was a great success.”
“This is a significant milestone for all our horseracing events, and most importantly, a brilliant development for our customers. We want to lead the way in horseracing by modernising our systems and technologies in a sustainable way for a better all-round experience, and that starts from the moment you purchase a ticket, before a smooth arrival to enjoy spectacular horseracing”.
AudienceView Chief Executive, Eric White, said: “We're thrilled to partner with Goodwood, providing them a powerful and configurable platform to revolutionise their ticketing and customer experience. At AudienceView, our end-to-end event commerce platform is designed to help organisations grow their audiences and operate more efficiently, and we look forward to supporting Goodwood's continued innovation and growth."

How the digital ticketing process works
People can secure their tickets by purchasing through our official website or via the Goodwood Ticket Office. As the event date approaches, the purchaser will receive an email with full details on how to download their tickets. These will be accessible via the Goodwood Ticketing app, complete with options for sharing tickets with guests. On the day, entry is simple. Spectators just need to present their digital ticket on their mobile device at the gate for entry into the Racecourse.
In 2025, all horseracing fixtures and Breakfast Clubs will use digital tickets. Our headline motorsport events and Goodwoof will follow in 2026. A 5% booking fee will be applied to all orders. The booking fee is a percentage per transaction rather than per ticket and will be capped at a maximum of £5 per transaction.
Goodwood Horseracing Club members will still receive membership packs and metal swing badges in the post, only guest admission tickets will be digital.

About Goodwood Racecourse
Introduced to the Goodwood Estate in 1802 by the 3rd Duke of Richmond, the Goodwood Racecourse has long been steeped in horseracing heritage. From Lord George Bentinck’s winning horse in the 1836 St Leger, which was transported in secret from Goodwood to Doncaster, to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s horse Love Affair taking its final win, the racecourse has been home to some significant moments in horseracing history.
Situated on the South Downs and hosting 19 race days from May through October, thousands of racegoers flock to one of the world’s most beautiful racecourses each year to enjoy a season of top-class racing and entertainment. With a varied calendar of fixtures, race day highlights include Three Friday Nights, the May Festival, the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar—more affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood - and the Season Finale, to name a few.
