Goodwood Racecourse
For immediate release, Sunday, October 15, 2023
Racegoers poured through the entrances at Goodwood Racecourse today at their Season Finale fixture making it a sell-out day for the Sussex track.
The huge crowd that were present for Goodwood’s final fixture were able to see a different type of horsepower on display around the racecourse. A range of cars, bikes and more belonging to the Goodwood Road Racing Club community were celebrated. Pre-war cars, motorcycles, classics, modern supercars, and in honour of the Racecourse, a group of Ferraris, were all on show.
Goodwood Racecourse also welcomed a large number of students to the day having worked closely with Invades, an events and media company that combines the best in live sport and dance music to attract and create the next generation of sports fans. Students were able to watch the live action on the track from a dedicated area at the racecourse as well as enjoying DJ’s in between and after racing.
Adam Waterworth, Events Managing Director for Goodwood said, “We have enjoyed a brilliant 2023 season and to end our final fixture with a sell-out crowd is fantastic. Despite economic challenges and the pressures racecourses face, it is great to have had the large numbers through the gates today, attracting new audiences including many students and motorsport fans.”
The afternoon provided a very affordable day out for all the family where tickets started at just £26 and Under 18’s went free.
