The Bonhams Goodwood Revival Meeting sale historically witnesses record hammer prices and the 2016 running should be no different. Undoubted standout in this year’s sale has to be the 1956 Porsche 550 Spyder with a stellar racing history which has a lower estimate price of £4.7m. Another star car is the 1936 Aston Martin 2-Litre Speed Model ‘Red Dragon’ Le Mans veteran which is expected to comfortably breach the seven-figure barrier. If your tastes stretch to more youthful fare, other entries ranging from Group B rally weaponry to a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition via the ex-Rowan Atkinson Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato. Automobilia covers the gamut from Brockbank cartoons to a Rolls-Royce Merlin aircraft engine, Lalique mascots to 1950s’ Ferrari brochures. The sale starts at 11am tomorrow.
