  • Chichester’s independent street food eatery The Ghost at The Feast will host over Three Friday Nights.
  • Stone & Skillet to provide exceptional dining experience across Autumn Racing afternoons.
  • Tickets for all horseracing fixtures at Goodwood Racecourse are available at Goodwood.com

Ready your taste buds as Goodwood Racecourse prepares to welcome a number of award-winning local restaurants to its Double Trigger Restaurant this season.

The vibrant pop-ups will champion the South Coast’s culinary scene with an array of divine locally sourced and inspired dishes.

Crabshack will be serving fresh seasonal seafood on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 May and again over the May Festival on 23 and 24 May, giving racegoers that first taste of summer by the sea.

The family-run restaurant on Worthing seafront is nationally acclaimed for its fresh fish and seafood plates, serving the likes of whole dressed crab, Sicilian inspired fish stew, cockle and shrimp popcorn, with all seafood sustainably sourced.

Crabshack owner, Sarah Tinker-Taylor, said: “We all really enjoyed our time at Goodwood last year taking over the Double Trigger Restaurant and seafood bar. It was a completely different experience for our whole team. We are so pleased to be asked back for a second year and are looking forward to two busy racing fixtures. It’s such a beautiful racecourse and the crew at Goodwood made us feel very welcome.”

For those in the mood for indie street food, The Ghost at The Feast will be serving some of the best of Chichester’s food scene over Three Friday Nights on June 6, 13 and 20. Racegoers can dance and feast the night away when dinner time comes knocking. Double Trigger Restaurant will be walk-in only for Three Friday Nights, with Gordon Enclosure guests able to access the restaurant following the last race of the day.

Top Chef Jameson Stocks will be barbequing his signature 14-hour charcoal slow-smoked beef brisket, while 3 Bros will be serving the ultimate wagyu beef burgers. For a Mexican vibe, Saltio will be plating up mouthwatering tacos, and Natty’s Jerk will be cooking a tantalising Jamaican food experience.

Farmyard at the Feast will also be on the Champagne Terrace bar with fresh oysters.

The Ghost at The Feast co-founder, Kate O’Norum, said: "The Goodwood Estate is a huge part of Chichester's history and culture; we already celebrate their incredible meat and dairy produce across our menus, and we are very excited to be bringing The Ghost at the Feast to Three Friday Nights. The Ghost at Goodwood brings a line-up of top local street food acts: including the legendary Natty's Jerk; Just Street Food by Jameson; Saltio Mexican and Sussex Wagyu wizards, 3 Bros burgers. Farmyard restaurant will be shucking oysters, seafood and electro, what's not to like."

Stone and Skillet will be providing an exceptional dining experience as guests get a pristine view over the Horse Walk on both Autumn Racing afternoons [September 2 and 24]. The wood fired kitchen duo, Craig Holden and Pippa Grundy, will be offering an exquisite three course menu created with the finest local ingredients.

Championing local produce for our Season Finale on Sunday 12 October, is Goodwood Estate’s flagship restaurant Farmer, Butcher, Chef. Aptly named, the farmer, butcher and chef sit down each week and discuss the cuts of meat available, helping to shape an ever-changing, seasonal menu. At Double Trigger this year, enjoy three courses of melt-in-your mouth dishes safe in the knowledge that you will have travelled further than your food.

Named in honour of the three-time Goodwood Cup winner, Double Trigger, this restaurant is perfectly placed to take advantage of views over the Horse Walk at Goodwood Racecourse.

James Crespi, Goodwood Racecourse Director, said: “We are delighted to be working with an array of local businesses again in 2025. Last year our Double Trigger restaurant hosted award-winning local pop-ups for the first time. For 2025 we will have an even broader variety of flavours from some of Sussex’s best food and drink outlets. There’s something for everyone at Goodwood Racecourse.”

About Goodwood Racecourse

Introduced to the Goodwood Estate in 1802 by the 3rd Duke of Richmond, the Goodwood Racecourse has long been steeped in horseracing heritage. From Lord George Bentinck’s winning horse in the 1836 St Leger, which was transported in secret from Goodwood to Doncaster, to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s horse Love Affair taking its final win, the racecourse has been home to some significant moments in horseracing history.

Situated on the South Downs and hosting 19 race days from May through October, thousands of racegoers flock to one of the world’s most beautiful racecourses each year to enjoy a season of top-class racing and entertainment. With a varied calendar of fixtures, race day highlights include Three Friday Nights, the May Festival, the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar—more affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood—and the Season Finale, to name a few.

The Qatar Goodwood Festival is one of the undisputed highlights of the British flat racing season. The world-famous five-day festival is a sporting and social occasion like no other, unrivalled style, superb racing, and hospitality experiences to savour mean it’s not to be missed. The 2025 Qatar Goodwood Festival takes place from Tuesday 29 July to Saturday 2 August. The week is headed by three Group 1 races, including the £500,000 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup (2m), the £1 million Qatar Sussex Stakes (1m), and the £600,000 Qatar Nassau Stakes (1m2f).
