- To the rescue! Limited edition paw-tisserie available from Nicolas Rouzaud at The Connaught throughout May.
- Afternoon tea includes a new dog(shaped) biscuit – for human consumption only!
- Bold Barkitecture kennels available for canine clients staying at the hotel.
- Goodwoof takes place Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026.
Goodwood and The Connaught are delighted to announce details of their latest collaboration in honour of rescue dogs ahead of Goodwoof, the ultimate dog’s day out, which returns this weekend (16 & 17 May).
Throughout May, the legendary Connaught Hound from Master Pâtissier Nicolas Rouzaud will receive a glow-up, complete with a stylish bow tie in Goodwoof’s signature bold orange. The limited-edition Connaught Hound will be available at Nicolas Rouzaud at The Connaught, with 10% of the proceeds donated to Battersea via Work for Good, Goodwoof’s official charity partner.
The custom canine cake is a feast for all the senses: an Opalys white chocolate mousse sits proudly atop a cocoa pain de Gene sponge, with a hazelnut praline centre, finished with an orange bow tie to nod to Goodwoof’s signature orange.
For those enjoying afternoon tea at Jean-Georges at The Connaught, throughout the month of May, there is even a surprise appearance from The Connaught Hound in biscuit form; a nod to the hotel’s emblem and the integral role that dogs play in daily life at both The Connaught and Goodwood.
Of course, no detail – or guest – is too small for The Connaught and very im-paw-tant patrons checking in to rooms throughout May, are invited to make themselves at home and sample some of Goodwoof’s Barkitecture kennels. These include Foster + Partners’ Barc (2023) and Hall + Bednarczyk’s Kennel Vessel (2025), bringing a touch of Goodwoof’s signature playfulness to Mayfair.
Goodwoof – the annual celebration of all things canine held at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex – heroes different dogs each year. As the ultimate dog’s day out marks its fifth anniversary, the spotlight turns to rescue dogs, with Goodwoof celebrating their incredible stories, love and loyalty. At the heart of the event sits Barkitecture presented by Cazenove Capital, which invites world-renowned architects and designers to respond to a creative brief set by Kevin McCloud MBE. This year’s theme – Dogs in Space – will see a selection of stellar kennels auctioned by Bonhams to raise funds for Battersea.
The Connaught Hotel will give 10% of the profits from each Goodwoof Connaught Hound sold from 1 May - 31 May 2026 to Battersea Dogs’ Home Limited which donates its profits to Battersea Dogs’ & Cats’ Home (registered charity number: 206394) via Work for Good.

About Goodwoof
Goodwoof is a celebration of all that we love about dogs on the Goodwood Estate. It takes place in the fields around the James Wyatt-designed Kennels, which is now the social home of our sporting membership on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026. The event offers a wide range of activities and demonstrations designed to delight, entertain and inform. Dog owners and their families and friends can encourage their own dog to Have-a-Go, hear from key behavioural and veterinary experts on The Wellness Stage presented by Mars, enjoy a dip in Fido’s Lido presented by LeShuttle, sit back with a glass of Taittinger champagne, relax in The Randox Health Studio with a spot Doga (dog Yoga), or marvel at the clever kennels designed by architects from around the world as part Barkitecture presented by Cazenove Capital.
