Pass the ARDS test at Goodwood Motor Circuit
Goodwood Motor Circuit has joined the Association of Racing Driver Schools, meaning those wishing to take the first step onto the racing ladder can now do so at the only classic race track in the world to remain entirely in its original form.
Drivers wishing to obtain their National B Race Licence can now undertake the MSA approved NDTC (Novice Driver Training Course) and test at Goodwood, where candidates are offered a significant amount of track time on their examination day, as well as being given a session on how to approach their first race day.
Jon Barnett, General Manager of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, said; “Membership of ARDS allows Goodwood Motor Circuit to take another step in strengthening our widening product portfolio, whilst also giving us the platform to deliver one of the very best ARDS courses available and support the development of motor sport at a grass roots level.”
The Motor Circuit, which hosts the renowned Revival each September, as well as an annual Members’ Meeting, Breakfast Clubs, Ultimate Driving experiences, private track days and its own GRRC club sprints, remains very much in the original form of when it was first opened for racing in 1948. Presenting a unique challenge to any driver, the Circuit is an ideal venue for those applying for their first race licence.
With the help of Goodwood’s Grade A race instructors, candidates can drive in the tracks of some of motor racing’s greatest, such as Sir Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio and Sir Jackie Stewart.
