With just one week to go until the 2026 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, anticipation is building for what promises to be one of the most memorable editions in Goodwood’s history. This year’s theme - ‘The Rivals – Epic Racing Duels’ - will see the event bring to life the legendary head‑to‑head battles that have defined motorsport. From the thunderous might of Ford challenging Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 to the fierce Formula 1 title fight between James Hunt and Niki Lauda in 1976, the Hill will echo with stories of competition, innovation and rivalry as machinery from Formula 1, MotoGP, Grand Prix racing, WEC, WorldSBK, IndyCar, WRC and more takes to the tarmac across the weekend.

This year’s monumental Central Feature will celebrate Singer. Renowned for reimagining the classic Porsche 911, Singer blends iconic design with cutting-edge engineering, material science and craftsmanship. Each Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer is shaped by the company’s simple but powerful mantra: Everything is Important.

Elsewhere at the event, Ducati will mark its centenary, honouring a “century made of seconds” with a special Balcony Moment on Thursday and a stunning display of the Collezione 100, showcasing some of the most iconic liveries and machines in the brand’s history. Goodwood will also celebrate 30 years since Damon Hill’s 1996 Formula 1 World Championship, with Hill returning for his own Balcony Moment and a series of appearances across the weekend. Another highlight will be the extraordinary reunion of the 1966 Le Mans‑winning Ford GT Mk II 1‑2‑3 finishers, brought together for the Festival of Speed and set to appear again at the Goodwood Revival from 18–20 September. The event will also pay tribute to Barry Sheene, marking 50 years since his first world championship title with a celebration of his life, career and enduring legacy, with Barry’s son Freddie Sheene and a selection of historic machines.

Just days after America celebrates 250 years, Goodwood will host a major Americana Celebration presented by Bank of America, with Cathedral Paddock set to become a home for American motorsport culture, welcoming up to 50 cars and bikes. The celebration will honour 110 years of the Indy 500, 110 years of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, 60 years of Can‑Am, 60 years of Trans‑Am, and 20 years since Jimmie Johnson’s first Cup Series championship. Seven‑time Piston Cup champion Lightning McQueen will appear throughout the weekend, giving fans the chance to meet a motorsport icon.

Formula 1 will once again have a major presence at this year’s Festival of Speed, with a strong line‑up of teams and machinery heading out on the Hill. Mercedes‑AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team returns with its 2024 W15, while McLaren Racing brings the striking 2025 MCL38 that helped secured the team’s first Constructor’s Championship in 26 years. Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 will showcase the SF‑24, alongside appearances from Aston Martin F1 Team, Atlassian Williams F1 Team, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls Formula One Team. With cars and drivers attending across the weekend, the 2026 Festival of Speed will offer one of the most comprehensive displays of contemporary Formula 1 outside of a Grand Prix weekend.

The brand new FOS Fan Zone presented by Pirelli will welcome some of the biggest names in motorsport for a series of live Q&As, conversations and interactive sessions hosted by Ariana Bravo and Jarod DeAnda. This year’s line‑up includes Damon Hill, Jamie Chadwick, James Vowles, Freddie Sheene, and Freddie and Tom Hunt, with further appearances scheduled across the weekend.

The balcony of Goodwood House will once again celebrate legends from across the world of motorsport, with Ducati kickstarting proceedings on Thursday, followed by John McGuinness on Friday. On Friday afternoon Lando Norris and Valentino Rossi will appear together, before Lando returns on Saturday, to celebrate his Formula 1 World Championship. Gerhard Berger will take to the balcony on Saturday afternoon, with Damon Hill headlining on Sunday.

Elsewhere, FOS Future Lab presented by Randox returns with Technology for a better world, showcasing cutting‑edge innovation across science, mobility and sustainability. This year’s exhibitors will feature breakthrough work in AI‑driven healthcare, clean‑energy systems, space technology, next‑generation materials and future mobility concepts, alongside hands‑on demonstrations from organisations shaping tomorrow’s world. Formula E will also make its Festival of Speed debut, bringing all four generations of cars for fans to explore up close as part of the wider exhibitor line‑up.

This year, Festival of Speed welcomes Mission 44 as its official charity partner, supporting the organisation’s work to create a fairer, more inclusive future for young people. Founded by Sir Lewis Hamilton, Mission 44 focuses on tackling systemic inequality through programmes that improve representation, create opportunities and empower young people from underserved communities. Across the weekend, Festival of Speed will help spotlight Mission 44’s initiatives, raise awareness of its impact and provide new ways for visitors to engage with and support its mission.

Away from the Goodwood Hill, the Cartier Style et Luxe Lawn will once again celebrate the very best in automotive design and restoration, with more than 40 vehicles presented across seven curated classes. This year’s selection includes Spezial K – Mercedes‑Benz Super Stars; Need for Swede – Koenigsegg’s Hypercar Revolution; No More Horse Play – Dawn of the Motor Car; The Long Fork to Freedom – American Choppers; Top Ghia; The Carrozzeria’s Golden Age; Miura Miura On The Wall – The Fairest of Them All; and Track & Field – Sports Cars Born to Race and Rally.

At the top of the Hill, the Forest Rally Stage presented by Subaru, will once again be one of Festival of Speed’s standout attractions, offering visitors an atmospheric journey into the heart of rallying. Set deep within Goodwood’s woodland, the stage brings together celebrated cars and drivers from across the sport’s past, present and future. Fans can enjoy close‑up views of iconic machinery and live action as cars thread their way through the trees, capturing the raw excitement and heritage that have made the Forest Rally Stage a highlight of the event.

Manufacturers continue to choose Festival of Speed as the place to launch their cars and this year is no different with a strong line‑up of global and UK debuts, including Alpine’s all‑electric A110 development mule, offering the first look at the next generation of its iconic sportscar. Aston Martin will showcase its sharpened new DB12 S and Vantage S variants, both bringing updated performance and chassis enhancements to the Hill. BYD’s premium brand DENZA arrives with several headline models, including the B5 SUV, the luxurious D9 people carrier and the high‑performance Z9GT, while Gordon Murray Automotive will present the first customer‑ready T.50s Niki Lauda alongside the S1 LM design model, Le Mans GTR XP1 and T.33 Spider VP12.

As anticipation builds for the 2026 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, fans can look forward to a spectacular celebration of pioneering technology, iconic cars and motorsport legends.
